Full day excursion to this especial volcano, into the ancient forest with 3.000 years old trees, the Alerce (fitzroya cupressoides)

After picking you up at your lodging in Puerto Varas, we go through Puerto Montt and take the road southwards. After 1 hour transfer, our path begins at 300 meters over the sea level at the shore of Río Blanco. We start to ascend Volcán Calbuco going through pools and deep into the millenary woods. After an hour and a half, we begin to see old larches.

At the level of the refuge, at 1.000 meters above sea level, we rest and enjoy the amazing view from Puerto Montt and the Oceano Pacífico.

12 kilometers, four hours in the way up, and 2 ½ go back.
